kyticky a pejskove (flowers and dogs)

Slibila jsem nejake fotky kyticek, tady jsou. Muskaty jsou pro Peta, protoze na jare, kdyz je okousali chipmankove - takovy prtavy hlodavci - jim rikal osklivy klacky a chtel, abych je vyhodila - oni fakt vypadaly, ze se z toho nezpamatujou, ale tady je dukaz, ze stalo za to si je nechat a venovat jim mou peci :) Dokonce na to mam svedky - Petovi rodice! Mela jsem je vyfotit predtim, abyste vedeli, jak jsem zdatny zahradnik. Ostatni kyticky a pejsky si uzijte vsichni.

I promised some pictures of flowers and plants. The geraniums are for Pete because he called them sticks when the chipmanks ate them in the spring and was making me throw them away. Jim and Gail, you probably remeber them with one leaf :) I should have taken a picture of them before so you would appreciate my gardening skills! The other plants and doggies are for everyone.

Takhle mi kvetla zachranena lilie, ale byla trosku jinak cervena nez na fotce. (This is my blooming lilly, the red is a little fake)

Tohle je specialni ker pro motyli, kdyz prisla snehova boure v dubnu, uplne ho znicila, tak jsem moc rada, ze kvete. (This is our butterfly bush which was destroyed by the snowstorm in April but it came back and now it is this pretty!)

A tohle je muj ibisek. Porad jenom kvete, ted mu rostou i novy listy a dalsi poupata. (This is my hibbiscus. It blooms all the time and now it is getting new leaves.)

Zase jsem se starala o pejsky, tady je Lucy s kosti. (I was again taking care of the doggies, this is Lucy with a bone)

4. den - Nedele (Sunday)

V nedeli jsme sli dopoledne do Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame. Nikdo mi neveril, ze je to tam jak cerna dira a jakmile tam vejdeme, zustaneme tam aspon 3 hodiny. Alan se nam tam ztratil, neprisel na sraz ve stanovenou hodinu - ukazal se 40 min pozdeji, protoze poslouchal pisnicky a samozrejme nemel hodinky :) Pak jsme meli hrozny hlad, tak jsme si udelali picnic u jezera Erie.

On Sunday we went to Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame. No one believed me that once we get there we will stay there for at least 3 hours. We lost Alan there, he didn't show up for our meeting at certain time. He was 40 min late because he was listening to the music there and he didn't have watch :) We were very hungry after the music exposure, so we went and had a picnic at the lake Erie.

3. den - Velka Party (Big Party)

V sobotu vecer jsme meli party na uvitani mamky a Lidy a hlavne jsme se konecne sesli na oslavu uspesne slozenych postupovych zkousek (On Saturday, we had a party to welcome my mom and Lida and we finally got together to celebrate passing Prelim I)

Tady jsou moje fotky pejsku Rufus, Lucy a Lola byli u nas na vikend na navsteve, kdyz jejich rodice Nancy a Rod a Erin a John byli pryc. Myslim, ze se jim tu libilo, teda aspon jsem je utahala...

This are pictures of Rufus, Lucy and Lola, they were visiting my back yard when their parents Nancy and Rod, Erin and John were gone. I think they had a blast and what is more important, I made them very tired...

3. den - s Alanem a Chiarou

Rano jsme se rozhodli jet do Narodniho parku.

Lida a Alan cekaji na houpacce na zbytek osazenstva auta. (Lida and Alan are waiting for the rest of the car crew on the swing)

Tak tady uz jdu ja - ne kazdy se rad foti, kdyz nekam bezi :) (Here is me - no comment...)

Dasa a Alan - uz opravdu vyrazime! (Dasa and Alan - we will leave soooon!)
Ale nez odjedeme musime opravit krmitko a dat ptakum zrni. ( But before we leave we have to fix the feeder and give the birds some food)

A tady uz jsme u informaci v Narodnim Parku. Vevnitr meli povidani o historii plavebniho kanalu, u ktereho je tahle budova. Taky tam meli maly model plavebnich komor, ktery mohl clovek vyzkouset - ale my jsme je malem vytopili, protoze jsme nevedeli, ze se zdimadla musi postupne otvirat a zavirat :) (And here we are by the Visitor center at the national park. Inside, they had history of the service canal by which this building stands, and also a little model of locks on the canal to get around damns. Unfortunately we weren't sure how to use it and we almost flooded the room (We=Alan):))

2. den - Cleveland na prochazce (on a walk)

Zelene pomerance, tyhle nejsou jedly pro lidi, ale v zime na ne chodi veverky, na podzim, kdyz padaji tak je dobry jim nestat v ceste (Green Oranges, they are called something like Carolina Oranges or something, they're not edible for people but the squirrels eat them in the winter they get as big as a basball and when they fall in you don't want to be in their way...)
